The Hitachi CR13VBY 12-Amp Reciprocating Saw provides the stability and power any professional or handyman needs from their tool to get the job done correctly and efficiently. A reciprocation saw has the back-and-forth motion of a handsaw that lets you quickly cut through various materials while providing versatility in awkward places normal saws won�t go. The 12-amp motor and 1-1/4-inch stroke length at 0 to 3,000-SPM results in rapid cutting performance and power control for tough cutting jobs. This 1300-max watt saw offers a straight and "swing" mode that produces significantly less rebound effect as compared to traditional orbital action for a more efficient cut in wood materials. A variable speed dial and trigger allow the user to adjust the cutting speed optimally for different materials resulting in less waste and more control. Hitachi's CR13VBY 12-amp reciprocating saw features a patented new technology called UVP (User Vibration Protection) that reduces the overall vibration produced by the motor and drastically lessens the vibration transfer to the user of the tool. Picked this saw up on Amazon for $78.00 a month ago.First thing this saw is a little heavy, but man it cuts like a champ.I've used Dewalt and Milwaukee saws in the past and this blows it away.Quick blade changes and the anti-vibration does work well.I use the saw mostly to trim bark and cut down wood for my smoker.

Great tool, much better than a cordless one. Anti-vibration technology works very well. Tons of power and never seems to struggle. I have cut just about everything with it. Highly recommend. Only negative is its weight.

needed a saw that could cut without hesitation. While cutting pushed with considerable force to try and stall the blade, didn't even slow down. While shopping for this of tool found great range in the pricing. Locally $179-229.00. Online the least expensive was $169. Purchaced the say including delivery for less than $110. Very happy, look forward to using it this summer in the trees.
