5Excellent tool
By S. Griffin
While I sympathize with the complaint about misleading information, that's a complaint about marketing, and it must be said that the tool itself is excellent. It's not a huge improvement over the 18V reciprocating saw, but it's significant, and the battery goes to about half speed when it gets low instead of shutting off completely with no warning like the 18V lithium ion batteries. It has been mentioned elsewhere, but if you want the 4 position blade clamp, make sure you buy this model, DCS380, not the DCS381 which only has the 2 position clamp. The combo kits don't always specify which model comes with the kit. We use this tool EVERY day, and for our use, the flush-cut sideways blade position which we are accustomed to is a significant feature; I would not be satisfied with the 381.

5Powerful and Versatile Saw
By farrider
This is an excellent reciprocating saw. It has four possible blades positions to fit most any job, and has great power to cut anything with the right blade. It is an exceptional value if you already own the Dewalt 20 volt lithium batteris. What you have come to expect from Dewalt. Requires no tool to change blades. Bare tool only comes with a cardboard box.

5Awesome Saw!
By William Tracey
Purchased a month ago to do some medium to heavy demolition work and this tool has not let me down. I haven't been able to bog it down and the battery life is good. I already owned a Dewalt 20v hammmer drill and this was a great addition.
A quick comment about the review stating that you have to stand around while the battery cools to charge...working outside in close to 100 degree heat and running the battery until it slows to a crawl I never had to wait. Pop the battery on the charger and it goes right into the charging mode. However, if there are concerns, two batteries solve any potential issues - slap a charged one on the saw while the spent one is being recharged.
I would and have recommended the DCS380B to others.
